A Bit About Me

Your Body, the Way You Want It

Getting in shape shouldn’t be a punishment. It’s an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can make. I believe in finding the pleasurable side of fitness and nutrition; While there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the benefits of fitness is worth the discomfort. I have developed my training regime by working with a variety of people, and always love adapting my program to new clients.
When it comes to nutrition my approach is simple; I don't believe in over complicating nutrition. I teach my clients to love food, and enjoy it. The journey to achieving your goals should be fun!

BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences

During this degree I studied the human body in health and disease. I covered topics such as physiology, pharmacology, haematology, microbiology and cell biology and got a deep understanding of the human body.

MSc Nutrition

During this degree I focused on understanding the role of diet in maintaining a healthy human body and the prevention of disease. I developed an in-depth understanding of the scientific principles that underpin the relationships between diet, human health and wellbeing as well as my ability to critically appraise the effects of food processing on the nutritional quality of foods and the role of processed foods in the diet.

ACE Level 3 Personal Trainer

During this certification I enhanced my knowledge of the human anatomy and physiology, and studied the fundamentals of applied kinesiology, nutrition basics and the physiology of training. I learned a systematic approach to designing exercise programs based on the unique abilities, needs and goals of the client as well as the essentials of working with individuals with various diseases and disorders. I also gained an understanding for common musculoskeletal injuries and implications for exercise including common tissue injuries and guidelines for how to manage them.
